Luxury Lake Como Villa with authentic furnishings

I visited the property and had the pleasure of staying here for 2 days in the late summer of 2017. We photographed the home over 2 days, we were joined with the owner and her family where we dined outdoors where we enjoyed white wine over stunning views of the Lake. Later that evening we took their boat across the lake to a non touristy town, where we enjoyed several traditional fish dishes (from fish of the lake). There in the town, the owner requested the key to the church and we were fortunate to have a tour of the small town’s church above the lake. The owner shared stories of the Villa and the area, where she has lived for several decades. She also knows the locals, including George Clooney who would pass by her villa in jeans and T-shirt when he moved in as he made his way from Villa to Villa to introduce himself to the neighbors. The owner is a very happy, creative and friendly woman.

The Villa dates back to the 1800, the original tiles of the flooring and bathrooms is further accentuated with beautiful stained glasses windows through the Villa.  There are authentic antiques and oriental rugs in every room. The Villa has the most comfortable and good quality bedding with the finest bed and bath linens. The owner a fashion designer has meticulously selected every detail of the home. She loves the home and has taken great pride in the restorations. The bathrooms are very beautiful, with stained glass windows, marble sinks and glass showers stalls. The shower on the upper floor has therapeutic “chromotherapy” features including warm changing lights. The tiles in each room, are custom tiles with black and gold prints and clever patters that accentuate the oriental carpets and antique furnisher. The fabrics of the curtains and bed linens are of the highest quality.

The kitchen has a express/cappuccino machine, a large refrigerator with ice machine. There is a washer, dryer and ironing board. There is a pool table for those who enjoy games and the owner offers her collection of cuban cigars (prices are listed). 

Every room opens up to the high over the lake with breathtaking views. The Villa is 4 stories, with a dramatic staircase outdoors that leads to beautiful gardens and a private dock for a private boat. There is plenty of parking and large areas for al fresco dining and lounging. There will be a pool is open from April 20 to October 26.

The Villa has a large pool table and comfortable furniture in the game room. You will find collectible books and paintings throughout the home. The Villa can’t be captured in photos, it has a charm and beauty that can only be experienced when you are there. I high recommend this property, I really loved it!

Extra Costs

Additional maid service at €15,00 per hour, additional bed linen changes, Chef classes, Boating, Airport transfers, food and drink. Final cleaning is €300, Electricity metered with a bonus of €50,00 per week, winter deposit for heating is €350. Maid service package is 5 days a week for 3 hours daily at €150 (additional cleaning is €15 per hour). Extra beds are €250 per week, baby bed is €100).
