Tuscany Historical Villa Rental

The Villa dates back to 1000 A.D. At that time, the complex was a cloister. – the main road from France to Rome – that still passes through the estate joining San Vivaldo to Montaione.

The estate was originally owned by the a famous family and was as a hunting lodge. Then it passed to the Bardini family (the same of the Bardini Museum in Florence) and in the second half of the 20th century, it was bought by the Billeri family and passed to the current owners.

The olive groves extend to 20 hectares, They consist of varieties Frantoio, Leccino, Pendolino and Moraiolo, which produce extraordinary olive oil rich of intensity and flavor.

In front of the large stone villa are gardens with a breathtaking views of the Tuscan countryside. A stone staircase leads to the swimming pool of 9 x 14 meters. They are surrounded by a large open area close to the loggia. It is the ideal place to eat outside and relax. There is a bathrom and dressing areas.

The Villa is made of 150 hectares – 25 of which are vineyards located on hilly, grounds of middle medley at a high altitude and expansive views. The surrounding vineyards, have a density that goes from 3600 to 5500 plants per hectare. The variety of grapes are the Sangiovese and Canaiolo, Colorino, Malvasia from Chianti, Merlot, Cabernet, Sauvignon and a small quantity of Trebbiano. There is a complimentary wine tasting at Fattoria Dianella vineyards.

Ground Floor: A main entrance hall leads to the sitting room. A man hall which leads to a library, the billiards room and to a bedroom with private bathroom, which is handicapped-equipped. On the other side, another entrance that leads to the large dining room, the hunting hall with an huge fireplace, the fully-equipped kitchen and a bathroom.

First Floor: Seven double rooms and one single room with French bed, all with private bathrooms and views of the surroundings and on the garden.

A large stone staircase, located in the main entrance hall, leads to the first floor, where a long corridor connects all the bedrooms.

Big pets are allowed on request, Check-in is between 3.00 pm and 7.00 pm, Check out is at 9.30 am Villa inspection is to be carried out between the guest and a representative of the Villa atcheck in to clarify all operations, contents and functions of the Villa. These include electricalsystems, gas, food, beverages consumed during your stay. A damage deposit of euro 1500 by cash only is obligatory upon check in and will be returned upon check out.
