Luxury Villa with high sea views in Positano

We visited and photographed this magnificent Villa in May of 2011. It is located in Positano, it is perched high into the hills, boasting a perfect view of the coast! Step onto the picturesque terraces and you will be surrounded by lush greenery and fragrant citrus groves – a garden of delights. Indoors the house is decorated with the finest authentic Italian antiques, each selected with care and thought by the owner, rich woods, frescos & rich fabrics.

The formal living room, adorned with gilt-framed artwork, opens through double doors to a verdant front terrace. Read by the firelight in the nearby study/sitting room, then adjourn to the dining room, which leads to a grand, professional kitchen highlighted by a full stone fireplace and two pizza ovens. The tiles and marble all of the finest Italian quality. The bathrooms are all large and decorated with beautiful tiles typical of the Amalfi Coast.

Downstairs, level in a full-service private spa offering a Turkish steam bath, hot-and-cold water showers, sauna, Jacuzzi with oxygen-therapy, massage room, and exceptional tiled pool with waterfall and resistance-swimming option. Step onto the private terrace to enjoy the views and an antique-tiled fountain with massage stones.

On the first floor, two master bedrooms with sitting rooms and en suite bathrooms both open onto a spectacular sea-view terrace. On the second floor, two junior queen suites overlook the Mediterranean (and either Positano or the gardens), both offering private access to gardens with lemon, olive and orange trees.

The high Baroque architectural details evident throughout the villa are highlighted by a rich jewel tone color scheme, gilt-framed works of art, and romantic terraces. There are sumptuously soft sofas, crystal chandeliers, lavish draperies, inlaid ceilings, and exquisite alcoves that make a stay at villa Alessandro a life-long memory.

Outside, Eden-like gardens and surrounding groves make lounging and dining al fresco as privileged an experience as life within. Couple all this with a full staff just waiting to attend to your needs, including freshly squeezed juices from the lemons and oranges grown outside your bedroom windows, homemade jams and pastries, the finest wine cellar, and two traditional Italian pizza ovens.

There are 180 gradual steps up to the Villa. The time it took me to walk to the main road from the villa was 6 – 8 minutes. There is a porter available to transport your luggage when needed to and from the Villa. Please inquire about your guests and any challenges this may present to the Villa. Once there you are halfway to heaven!

Arrival time is 4:00- 5:00 pm; departure time is 10:00 am. Arrivals before 4:00 pm will incur a charge of USD 300.00

The security deposit will be held by the agency €10,000.

What's Included in the Cost

Staff for cleaning includes 2 ladies to cook and serve meals, pool service, food shopping, Staff with chef and concierge for 8 hours per day. Extra service is €25,00 per hour, per helper. Welcome dinner with wine and Prosecco. Daily change of towels, final cleaning.
