Lake Como Villa with Private Pool
Villa Stefania is an elegant Villa located directly in front of the Lake Como with spectacular views. The Villa’s owner has a flare and taste for exceptional antiques and collectible furnishings. He enjoys his collection of exquisite and authentic paintings, pottery and furnishings. He generously shares these treasures with his guests. He pointed out to me his meticulous and precise location of where he hangs his paintings so that under the night lights, they are seen from every angle of the home.
Outdoors, the garden and terrace are ideal for candlelit dinners or relaxing afternoons with a book. The terrace (780 sq ft) faces the lake and you can enjoy the view or sunbathe in privacy. A Jacuzzi spa and also a swimming pool (that can be heated at additional cost) are located in the garden, as well as a Ping-Pong table and table footfall. Relax at home and enjoy la dolce vita or take advantage of easy access to all the sights of Lake Como. A pergola with cover and a recently added unique outdoor chandelier make this Villa a perfect spot, lakefront to enjoy a glass of wine, slightly above is a large terrace where your group can enjoy lakeside dinners or just lounging under the moonlit skies.
The convenient location, just a few kilometers from Cernobbio and 7 km (4.4 mi) from the center of Como, with easy access to public transportation (bus stop is 165 yards from the villa; ferry pier is 440 yards) makes this Villa an ideal destination for touring. From the private dock, guests can use a rental boat or the comfortable water-taxis to visit the Villa d’Este as well as Menaggio, Bellagio, Tremezzo and the charming villages of Lake Como. An 18-hole golf course is just three km (1.8 mi) away.
Villa Stefania is on three floors with 6,500 square feet of interior space (plus basement) set on half an acre of walled gardens. The small loop road is close to the back of the villa so some noise is possible, but villa has special triple-glazed windows and most of the bedrooms face the lake which minimizes any intrusion. In addition, the road behind the villa loops off the main road and is without trucks in an exclusively villa area without loud businesses of any kind in the immediate neighborhood. The garden is walled on three sides. There is a private pedestrian underpass to the parking lot on the other side of the road which is in front of the caretaker’s and owner’s houses. Enjoy sunrise, sunset and the moonlight from one of the most beautiful terraces on the Lake.
You can rent the owner’s boat during your stay and dock it directly at the property. Cruise the lake and discover a once in a lifetime experience. The Lake is my personal favorite, it is elegant with history, richness and exception beauty beneath the towering alps.
Entrance Floor This floor features two large furnished living rooms. The living room is decorated with French doors that open to an exquisite terrace. There is a spacious dining room located on this floor with a fireplace. The dining room features French doors that lead out to the terrace. There are two kitchens located on on this floor. The second kitchen has it’s own terrace and offers over 30 different types of wine for guests enjoyment. Included on this floor is one bathroom equipped with a shower.
Second Floor The second floor on this property features a study, 4 queen bedrooms with lake views,1 marble bathroom with a tub, 1 marble bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, 1 large bathroom with a Jacuzzi and separate shower with water massage, and 1 bathroom with shower and water massage that overlooks the terrace. This floor is capable of sleeping 8.
Mansard The third floor in this villa features 1 king bedroom, 3 twin bedrooms, 1 bathroom with a shower, and a large bathroom with a shower and Jacuzzi tub.
Basement The Basement in this villa features a laundry room and wine cellar with wine, salami, and olive oil for purchase. The wine cellar features a lounging area.
Check in
Check in is at 4:00 PM local time and check out is at 10:00 AM local time.
Security Deposit
Security deposit is to be paid at check in the amount of €2000 and refunded at check out less damages.
Extra Costs
Extra costs are final cleaning €350.00, electricity, heat and A/C over €100, additional housekeeping, extra beds requested in advance are at an extra charge, telephone is metered and based on usage, babysitting, cook services, airport transfers, laundry, local municipality taxes if applicable, late check in after 7:00 PM will require a €50.00 charge, after 11:00 PM is €100.00 charge. Additional linen change per bed is €20,00 to be paid directly to the maid.
